Shelby Jo Sobba, Kansas Outreach Coordinator

Shelby Jo Sobba is a sophomore at Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kansas where she studies Animal Science and Industry and Spanish. In the fall of 2008, she will transfer to Kansas State University in Manhattan.

Shelby was born and raised on a small farm just outside of Richmond, Kansas. Her family raises cattle, swine, goats, and poultry. Throughout her life, she was involved in the 4-H program and still continues to help the youth in the county. During high school, Shelby was an active member in FFA serving as the chapter President. When Shelby’s not busy with school, she is generally found at home, working on the farm. She enjoys family time, hanging out with friends, reading, and horseback riding.
