Chapters...
The Farm
Safety 4 Just Kids Chapter system works as a
network for conducting farm safety programs in communities throughout
the United States & Canada.
Chapters have community ownership and responsibility for conducting
local children's farm safety activities using resources and assistance
from Farm Safety 4 Just Kids.
Farm families, ag-businesses, FFA, 4-H, schools, producer groups,
university extension, emergency medical personnel, health professionals,
civic groups, and anyone who shows an interest in the safety of
children on the farm can initiate or join a chapter in their community.

Impact
of Our Chapters...
Thousands of volunteer hours are spent teaching children, youth, and farm families about farm safety each year. To date, nearly 134 communities have initiated chapters to help promote farm safety in their community, area, or region. Millions of kids have attended farm safety day camps, school programs, booths, health fairs, family seminars, and more conducted by FS4JK chapters. It is through the efforts of volunteers that FS4JK is keeping rural kids safe and healthy.

Thank you to Monsanto!!
Farm Safety 4 Just Kids is pleased to announce a new grant opportunity available to all FS4JK Chapters. Monsanto has provided funding to award every chapter with a $100 Chapter Grant. Grant money will be given in the form of reimbursement for expenses including exhibit booth costs, mileage to/from the event, and resources for a program that your chapter conducts. These programs can be anything from a puppet show at an elementary school, a booth at a county fair, or a farm safety day camp.
Every chapter is eligible; you just need to fill out an application explaining what your event is and when it will take place. All programs have to be conducted by December 31, 2008. To receive reimbursement, you must submit a Chapter Event Record, Group Photo, and any newspaper clippings of the event. You will also be asked to provide us with information prior to the event so we can send you a press release to give to the local media. Monsanto will try to have a local Monsanto employee attend all funded events.
