KEEP ON TRACK Educational Packet
 Tractor safety is an important issue for all ages. Farm Safety 4 Just Kids has created a Keep On Track educational packet that includes puzzles, activity sheets, a full color poster, and educational materials. This packet will help teach children and youth from kindergarten to middle school the concepts of staying safe when tractors are present. It contains a number of activities that will make it easier for you and your audience to have fun while learning.
The Keep On Track Educational Packet includes the following components:
- Keep On Track background information and activity book with statistics, lesson plans, and puzzles
- Full color tractor poster
- Brochures - “Cawshus the Crow On...No Riders” (youth-oriented); “Dr. Danger on PTO Safety” (youthoriented); and “Keep On Track” (leader’s guide)
- Reflective tape for SMV demonstrations
- Color-On T-Shirt transfers
- Tractor Times activity booklet for younger kids
- NO RIDER decals
- CD with an electronic copy of all the background information, brochures, poster, and activity book files
Ideas for using and presenting the Keep On Track educational packet in your community:
- Suggest your local FFA and 4-H groups purchase a packet
- Perform tractor safety demonstrations at farm safety activity days, county fairs, and schools
- Make copies of appropriate pages and ask that they be given out to customers at local implement dealers
- Hand out age-appropriate game pages after performing puppet shows at preschools and day care facilities
- Make copies of puzzles and games and hand out to children and older youth
- Give tractor safety presentations during Farm Safety and Health Week (third full week in September)
- Order extra decals and brochures. After your presentation, hand them out to younger children to take home
